Losing a treasured pet is really, really hard. I’m a dog guy, but I understand cat people and horse people, too; any warm, usually furry, friend. We’ve lost many over the years, and a couple of dogs back I wrote a song about them. It’s a little bit country–we recorded it in Nashville–but I send it to people who are going through that pain, a pain that’s over for the pet but lingers with us for a long time. If that’s you, or someone you know, click here for I’ll See My Dogs in Heaven When I Die.
I hope it helps a little.
BTW, Do the right thing for your friend. Let him or her go when it’s best for THEM, not you, and try to be there when they go. They want YOU to be the last thing they see.
